I made this cute little stuffed bear, inspired by the motifs from the Mexican holiday of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). I need to work on my embroidery skills.
I am a busy mom of two very active boys. A part time substitute teacher. An active volunteer. Chauffeur, short order cook, referee (the mom things!)
I craft for the fun of it, even though I constantly wish I could put forth the time and effort to make it a business, but then wonder if I would still enjoy it.
I make jewelry, often with repurposed vintage pieces, mosaics, collage, sew a bit. I would love be able to paint. And make clothes.
I love Japanese crafts and pop culture, and the designer vinyl toys that have stemmed from this. I may be too old, but I love Hello Kitty and friends!
