Always a fan of graffiti art, I have found a few sources of inspiration in the works of Traci Bautista, Alisa Burke, and all of the urban artists out there who incorporate the style into their work. While I have yet to be brave enough (or have a clear enough space) to pick up the colorful spray cans, I have been playing around with doodles and words.
I am a busy mom of two very active boys. A part time substitute teacher. An active volunteer. Chauffeur, short order cook, referee (the mom things!)
I craft for the fun of it, even though I constantly wish I could put forth the time and effort to make it a business, but then wonder if I would still enjoy it.
I make jewelry, often with repurposed vintage pieces, mosaics, collage, sew a bit. I would love be able to paint. And make clothes.
I love Japanese crafts and pop culture, and the designer vinyl toys that have stemmed from this. I may be too old, but I love Hello Kitty and friends!
